Welcome to JS Estimating and Procurement. The following terms and conditions outline the processes, responsibilities, and limitations of our services. By engaging our services, you agree to adhere to these terms.
1. Scope of Services
- All services are based on the information provided by the client, including drawings, videos, and any additional documentation.
- JS Estimating and Procurement provides estimating and procurement services for construction projects, including cost take-offs, budgeting, and procurement advice.
2. Process Overview
Inquiry Submission:
- All inquiries must be sent via email with attached drawings and a detailed description of the project.
- Clients are required to provide a video walkthrough of the property’s affected areas to ensure accurate pricing (e.g., loft interiors for conversions, rear views for extensions).
Quotation:
- A quote for my services will be provided based on the scope and complexity of the project.
Execution:
- Once the quote is accepted, work will commence.
- Upon completion, the client will be notified, and the invoice will be issued.
Delivery:
- All documentation will be released after full payment is received.
- Clients may request adjustments for errors at no additional cost. However, changes to scope or additional requests will incur additional charges.
3. Client Responsibilities
- Ensure all information provided is accurate and complete. This includes drawings, dimensions, and project details.
- Understand that estimates are based on the information provided. Any inaccuracies in this information may affect the final outcome.
4. Limitations of Liability
JS Estimating and Procurement is not liable for:
- Over-ordering or under-ordering of materials.
- Waste, damages, or inaccuracies caused by on-site practices or unforeseen circumstances.
- Variations or deviations from the provided drawings and specifications.
Estimates are prepared based on ideal conditions and do not account for:
- Variances in material quality, carpenter or builder practices, or waste levels.
- Specific on-site challenges that may arise during construction.
5. Payment Policy
- Payment is required upon notification of project completion.
- Documentation will only be released once full payment has been received.
- Additional charges will apply for changes to scope or revisions requested after the initial work has been completed.
6. Exclusions
- JS Estimating and Procurement does not provide on-site Quantity Surveying (QS) services such as site visits, builder queries, or ongoing project management.
- Our involvement ends once the builder or subcontractor has been appointed, or once the estimating and procurement services have been delivered.
7. Project Refusal
- I reserve the right to decline projects that lack sufficient information or involve unrealistic expectations.
- Clients are encouraged to provide comprehensive project details to ensure accurate service delivery.
8. General Terms
- All communication will be conducted via email. Phone numbers will not be advertised or used for business inquiries.
- JS Estimating and Procurement retains the right to update these terms at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes.
